About Me

Call me TJ. Like many other known and unknown writers, I have been addicted to The Craft since I was little, and I am blessed to say I have been able to do it professionally since I graduated from college in 2016.

Currently, my home base is Tampa, Florida, and I am the managing editor of DisneyFanatic.com, and I am the Content Coordinator and co-founder of two neighborhood magazines via Best Version Media: Westshore Living and Palma Ceia Living. I also devote my free time freelancing for all facets of Digital Marketing Consulting.

My writer’s journey began in Advertising as a copywriter after AMC’s Mad Men opened my eyes to the practical and lucrative outlet for my Bachelor’s Degree in writing. I served as a social media writer and scheduler for clients such as the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, Lennar International, and BusyKid. I was also the social media manager and consultant for Pacific Legal Foundation. I have written websites for car dealerships across the country, as well as for THQ Nordiq and a private charter company. I have even pitched, sold, and run a social media marketing campaign for the movie Stuck.

Moving from Advertising and Marketing to journalism, I found a home as a senior reporter and assistant editor for the theme park and entertainment news site Inside the Magic, covering news regarding The Walt Disney Company and NBCUniversal from the latest gossip at Universal Studios and Walt Disney World to hard corporate stories. Taking a year off, I would return to this sphere of reporting to be the Managing Editor of DisneyFanatic.com.

In matters of print publications, I helped found Westshore Living in 2021 and Palma Ceia Living in 2022.

But my passion is travel writing, and in pursuing that career, I have provided the words for a photo book about Sainte Suzanne, Haiti, and I have published an article in the magazine ROVA. After being blessed to have traveled to over half of the 50 states, three Canadian Provinces, and over two dozen nations and territories across the Caribbean and Mediterranean, I realized that the only thing keeping me from being a travel writer is choosing not to write.

As you browse my website, you will see some examples of that work as well as some other essays and fiction that did not find their way to an outside publisher.

I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, graduated from Jesuit High School in 2012, and am a proud alumni member of Tau Kappa Epsilon International Fraternity.

If I’m not hunched over my computer punching out a new article or off on some new adventure, you can find me with family or friends playing hockey, running around Disney World, or doing something with the water, from fishing and tubing to freediving.

I firmly believe that every day is a new opportunity for something better. It does not matter if it is as small as the taste of your morning coffee or the drive to work. Something about today CAN and WILL be better than yesterday, which should give us all hope and faith in tomorrow.
